This two CD set was recorded live at the Kirkgate Centre ,Cockermouth
I used a Sharp MiniDisk Recorder with a Sony Microphone placed at the
back of the hall.
The date was 4th July,2004 and we had two guests helping to get the night going with a real swing.
Peter Wright, Trumpet and Gavin Lee, Drums. Peter plays with Brian Carrick’s Algiers Stompers as well as other bands and Gavin not only plays drums but also clarinet and sax with his own and other bands in the North East. The rest of the band was our usual four piece, Joe, Tenor Sax,Frank on Bass, Russ on Banjo and Guitar and myself on Clarinet and Soprano and Alto Saxes.
